Default Tire cupping 2012 flhtk

Any idea's whats causing tire cupping. Original Dunlops made it 3500 miles, MC11's made 4200, cupping as well. Dealer told me at last tire change that after the 2009 frame change all the touring bikes tire cup. Air pressure is always kept spot on per manual. MC11's tread is still like new. A new tire every 4000 or so doesn't seem right.
Thanks

I've had a cupping issue before and now inflate the tires 2psi over 38 frt and 42 rear, this is on the newer (09+) stock Dunlop tires; I'm also always using the same tire gauge so who knows if I'm actually 2 over. I've never had a tire cup since then, maybe try a different tire gauge to make sure the pressures are right.

I routinely get 11k on the rear and 17k on the front, not a drag racer but ride fairly aggressive otherwise.

Running 40 in rear, problem is rear tire only. Have 3 gauges, all read the same.

alignment, balance ,air pressure all can cause cupping. I would start with air pressure and set commander 2's at 38-40 on front and 40-42 on rear. I had similar issues and this seem to help with mine.

My '11 Ultra made it around 10k before cupping enough to replace the tires. My '15 Limited is just shy of 15k and is cupping a bit now. I'm going to keep riding the Limited for a bit longer, until I can't stand the humming in turns since the tread is still decent. I maintain tire pressure right at the recommended psi.

Dyna-Beads will fix this issue. Always balanced, all speeds, all the time.

ditto. I have gotten 27,000 km front and 40,000 km rear no cup

my first set cupped just like you describe. I carried a pencil gauge and always checked before ride. so I pulled out pencil gauge after pencil gauge. found 5-6. all over the place up to 5lbs difference. two dial gauges agreed I was not at 38/42 as I thought. 5-6 pencil gauges went in the dumpster and I now ride with a dial gauge and have not had cupping since.
