Well, put on my V&H oval slips while waiting for my PC111 and AC to get here the other day. Exhaust had a kick azz low rumbly DEEP sound. Right side dominant due to the factory headers, but VERY NICE!!!Well, today I finished my dresser duals, RK 3909, and PC111. went for a test flight and found some of the bass gone out of the exhaust. Alright, I can live with that. But I also picked up a vibration from the motor that wasn't there with just the slips. Not sure if it's due to the PC111? So the question is, the PC111 is just a "plug n play" right? I had Fuelmoto map to my setup and I had the 02 sensors eliminated at first, but hooked em back up to see what happens. No change to the vibration. Am I missing something with the PC111 install????
I noticed some pretty significant "buzzing" in my floorboards and handlebars after installing duals. About a month ago I had my motor mounts changed and a dyno tune w/custom map created. The bike rides 100% better now. I cannot completely be sure that the dyno tune was the answer, but I am pretty sure it was.
Thanks for the info. I can also describe it as a buzzing while riding, but also a significant vibration increase at idle as well. Doing all the mods at once though makes it hard to tell if it is the duals or the map. I'll disconnect the PC111 and find out though. Ride safe.
Good luck. My buzzing was driving me nuts. The dyno/custom map I had created was the best $200 I ever spent. I also picked up about 6hp and 6 torque, so there was that benefit as well. Spending $$$ never ends!b
I think it's the duals. Mine seemed to vibrate more after putting them on. Side note, did you set the throttle posistion on the PCIII? If not you'll want to do it.
Make sure none of the exhaust brackets are touching anything that they shouldn't. Also, make sure the mufflers aren't touching anything like a saddlebag guard (for example) etc.
The install destructions never mention TP. I was under the assumption after talking with the folks @ Fuel Moto that it was basically a plug n play deal. What does setting the TP do, and how can I do it?

lots of good places to look, but surprised no one mentioned the 02 sensors (though i'm sure that it has nothing to do with vibes). if you have them hooked up with the pciii, you are fighting against yourself. the 02 sensors are going to be trying to get you to 14.7 to 1, while the pciii is going to be trying to richen you up. if you are using the pciii, use the 02 sensors.
also, if you are going to be setting the 100% throttle, it took me a while to figure out that you have to have the battery plugged in to the pciii, the ignition switch on, and the run switch on...... bike does not have to be running. i didn't have the run switch on and couldn't figure out why the damn 100% wasn't working like the manual said.
