Last night watching "Ridculousness" on TV a rider turned his head for a second and then ran into a VW bug. Maybe he should have used his mirror?

Totally agree with you, always had flat mirrors until my 2017 HD trike. So will look for larger flat mirrors....

And aren't cop bikes Harleys..... And in emergencies, one may not have time to turn head, glance in mirror may be all the time you have......

I totally get it, I just put a set of descent mirrors on my street glide and what a difference it made. I really like being able to see behind me now, if for anything it gives me a sense of knowing where I dident have that with the stock mirrors. To each their own I guess.

Who needs stinkin' mirrors when a deft crack of a 'Get back' whip will let you know if anybody's occupying space in your blind spot.

We ride staggered here so each rider has somewhere to go. And while I check my mirrors constantly I don't move into another lane without a shoulder check. That second shoulder check has saved me an accident many times. I don't trust mirrors.
