The reason for having mirrors is so you can see what is behind you and WHERE it is. Maybe if that is all you have ever had You can learn to deal, but I bought my pan in "73 and have always had REAL mirrors on my bikes. I got my "08 in "15 and immediately learned I couldn't trust them, a car or bike that looked like it was way back was right on me.
I bet this causes a lot of accidents, making emergency lane changes and guessing the amount of clearance wrong, and afterword they are not sure what happened. It is the stupid funhouse mirrors!!

The only REAL mirrors Harley still sells are for POLICE bikes!! Police bikes have real mirrors!

Your head turns. Try it sometime when riding and actually get a good look where you're going, or want to go, and don't just rely on your mirrors. Trust me, it works!
Yeah my head used to spin around like an owl, but I'm 65 years old now and it doesn't spin around like that any more.
Plus sometimes **** happens quick and a quick glance in a real mirror allows more decision making time.
There are plenty of flat mirrors available. Cheaply too. So pick your poison.
personnly, not had any trouble learning the scale of the more panoramic mirrors and find their larger field of view to be beneficial. But, that's just me.
No offense, but if you're unable to turn your head to verify traffic that may or may not appear in your mirrors perhaps big papa AZ is on to something. You could be putting yourself or, more importantly, other innocent people in danger on the roadway because you don't have full use of your neck.

I'm totally happy ( maybe have grown accustomed ) with "fun house mirrors" ... BUT ... I have to wonder if there is something to the "Cop Bikes Don't Use Them"
