One of my rear air shocks just started leaking oil. Thinking this is a good time to get rid of them and go to a progressive type of shock. Preferably, I would like a 1 inch shorter than stock progressive set of shocks. Any recommendations?
Lots of brands make suitable shocks and there are zillions of threads about them! Take time to use Search and read a few threads from the last few months, you'll get a flavour of the subject quicker that way.
I put some progressive 440's on my 06 RK back in 2012 or 2013.
I installed the stock length, I was happy with them.
I didn't ride for 3 or 4 years....I got the bike running this year, still got the 440's on it, still like em.
Shocks are like most everything else.
You get what you pay for.
I had a hard time getting the right pressure in my air shocks but once I did I'm happy with them but I've made up my mind (after reading countless threads on here) that when my OEM shocks need replacing, I'm getting a pair of the Premium H-D's provided that I can get a discount on them.
