Screaming Eagle Ultra
I have had my '06 CVO Ultra SE since Sept 30th. The weather has not been overly cooperative so I only have about 300 miles on her. I have never owed a Harley before so I can not do a comparison report on this 103ci. model compared to a 88ci or 95 ci. I can however report that this bike has substantial modifications and accessories added when compared to a stock Ultra and I am not dissapointed that I selected this model! I will post pictures and a full report in the next few days if the weather holds out.

Thanks for all your replies. I do have the 95 inch, but I hope I feel better punch with the 103. I have a 2006 SE ordered...Autumn Haze, set for delivery in Feb or March. I am getting a reasonable trade for my 2005 Ultra, but you can imagine what a beating I am going to take anyway with all the extra goodies I have invested in it.

Hi. I am fairly new to this forum (my 1st post here!). I bought a new 2005 Ultra in June, and have put nice "upgrades" to it (Stage 1, bunches of chrome, etc.), but my eyes are watering for a new SE Ultra. Anybody have any experience with these units to tell me that I am not making a mistake? These babies are wickedly expensive!

Some impressions....
* The paintwork is spectacular, done I believe, by the MOCO's outside custom paint supplier. Whatever you do, don't fall down!
* The longer you look at it, the more "special" parts you see. It's chock full of bling-bling.
* Be aware the motor is an EPA-legal 103". Performance wise, a well-tuned 88" will equal it.
A 95" w/cams will kick it's ***.
The motor feels very restricted. It's crying for some fuel and a real camshaft. It pinged at certain throttle openings.
* I found the fancy ostrich leather seat to be uncomfortable.
* The Tour-Pak (also with ostrich leather accents) is very small inside.
There is a "hump" in the lid that attempts to provide more room, but I think it just makes the Pak look ugly.
* The ride height is lowered compared to a regular FLHT. Watch your expensive boards if you like to go around corners.
* Wherever you go, people will stare at you and the bike with covetous thoughts.
although my bike may not be a "one of a kind" i surly dont see alot of them on the road. it seems that there may be a few more black/cobalt like SEEG's than the orange/black like mine. having the CVO does hold value a little better than customizing a stock ultra. as far as performance. with a few small mods the 103 runs very well. i still havent putthe race tuner on my bike and although the fron tire may not lift off the ground it has lots of tourqe. plus i didnt buy my bike to race. its a cruiser. if iwant to go 0-120 in 2 sec's ill spend 12 grand and buy a hyabusa. the CVO models give you alot for the money. the jury is still out for me on the 06 SE ultra. i think the moco should have gone with either a chopped or king hard tour pak. but thats just my opinion. i get alot of looks on my bike. the MOCO did a great job on the SE EG. IMHO. i also thing this year they aced it with the SE fatboy, thats a cool lookin ride (200 mm rear tire finally) if i had the extra $$$$ thats what id buy.

Words of wisdom. Keep yours and spend some money on it to make it unique and different from all the othe SE bikes out there.
