$200 Cdn at the dealer here. That covers 2 hrs. Any longer, by the hour

I hope you realize that all this dynamometer jabber is just nonsense for almost everyone. It is almost exclusively a way to separate you from money you do not need to spend. The tuning specs available from DynoJet, Fuel Moto or any other similar outfit are all anyone needs for road use even if you like to be heavy on the throttle to impress whomever, yourself or others.

The specs DO NOT have to exactly fit every damn modification you have made. They simply must closely approximate what you have done to your cycle. Only the guys whose sole reason for being is to talk an extra few horsepower or pound-feet of torque extol dynamometer testing. To each his own--but, I think they are goofy having bought the line that costs them lots of money, but does not achieve much or any value.

I can pull the front wheel off the ground in second gear with my 2006 Ultra and it never has seen a dynamometer. And, I am not an expert rider by any means.

Tons of valuable information can be gleaned from the great folks on this forum. I have learned alot here. The dynamometer folks are not among those whom you need to listen to.

albngore, my main concern is the fuel mileage. I'm taking 37 mpg approximately and that's a Canadian gallon that is bigger than the US. I'm hearing proper air to fuel ratios for a perfect burn can be had with a tune or auto tuner. Thankyou for the advice. I know there is a lot of truth in what you say.

Say you could get to 40 mpg rather than 37. It would take 267 gallons to break even on that $800 outlay. And that's "if" you get an improvement. Big if. I'd rather dial it in and buy actual stuff or invest the dough.

07 Ultra classic with stage two so not an exact comparison but...
It was tuned by a local harley dealer with a really good reputation. I feel lucky on the occasional tank that hits 37mpg. Usually in the 35 to 36 range and I'm pretty darn sure it's tuned too lean.

What were you getting before the mods? What would you be satisfied with?
I agree with what was said above in that I really doubt that any gain you get from a dyno will be cost effective "savings"

SBob makes good sense. There's a point of diminishing returns and I think you're there. If you're riding for gas mileage, time to give up Harleys and get a clown car! Power increases and good fuel mileage are conflicting terms. Choose one. If the bike runs good, quit. It's as simple as that. $850 buys a lotta gas!

Gentleman, before I did the cams, true duals and just had a canned ecm stage one when it was new I was hitting 55 mpg driving at 50 mile per hour. Understand that's a lot but our Canadian gallon is larger than the US. I veryified that number on four different tanks of fuel driving four different weekends. Everything being equal I expected 5 or 6 mpg less with the cams, not 18. My plugs too are not running clean but I'm rich in the setting as they are black. Again babying it and rideing at 50 mph. I posted those numbers a year ago on this forum. So I can live with this and keep buying plugs or get it tuned. Since I have the PC5, why not use it to its potential, unless one of you are interested in buying it for what I paid for it......lol

Just curious. I read the whole post. You received allot of information. But yet you still hold your ground on fuel mileage and say you ride at 50mph. Hell, why did you do a stage II. Sounds like stock with slip ones is all you need.

No disrespect. Just pointing out the obvious.

fuel mileage? The first time I ever got concerned, fuel was 2.80 and the RV was 6 mpg flat freeway, 55, no trailer.
