Default Rear fender protection

I have a 13 limited and recently bought a passenger grab for my wife. When I pulled the seat to look at mounting it I realized the fender has no protective film on it like my 05 heritage had to protect against the seat rubbing on the paint.i really don't want to put the chrome rail on the paint directly. What have you done to protect the fender under the seat and grabrail?

There was a time that dealers had the protective film pieces in stock. Could always grab one if your dealer has them.

Is that something could find online. Didn't think it was an item the dealer would sell

Look online for transparent paint protection film. I know HD sells an expensive kit now, so maybe they stopped supplying those pieces for under the seats, etc. They used to list them right in the parts manuals.

I have bought this film in rolls that are about six inches wide at automotive supply stores. I use it for protecting a lot of things!

I did the same for lid on my bags. $20 for a roll 6" x 72" and cut and places. Really simple. Lots of water and a little patience. Under wear would be easy install. Look for paint protection film....

I just bought 2 sheets of the paint protectors sheets from my auto body supply shop last week to put on my gas tank, for when I have a standard SG seat on, as it rests higher up on the tank than my CVO seat does. Paper size sheets, $12.
