Just put on a Avon Cobra on my 99 Ultra last weekend. Didn't ride due to the weather, went out Thursday to ride to work, got my gear on had the bike warmed up, bike felt low to me. Went to put it on the kickstand (that I must have forgotten that I kicked it up & the bike went over in my garage. Nothing but my pride was hurt, took off my gear & got in the car & drove to work after picking up that 900# hog that was next to my Durango (inches away). Got home to see what was up, flat tire. Did not hear any hissing, but being a bagger, not a lot of access to the tire. Put 50psi in it & checked it int he morning. Down to 30psi. Can't ride to work today, took the car. Checked it out today a little closer, sprayed it down with soapy water & found the leak. Bead on the belt side (which was down when I installed the tire) Dyna beads got in there, don't ask me why, it was down & the sidewalls on the Cobra are stiff & I had a hard time pushing it down to put them in the tire (valve stem has too tiny of a hole & it takes for ever). So now I need to break the bead to get them out & I really don't want to take the wheel off the bike again. Tried a c clamp but it does not reach in far enough to get the bead off. Will look tomorrow for something that will work, if anyone has an idea, please shoot it at me.

Take the tire off, and do it right. Little more work, but done right. I know, easy to say.

Taking the tire off is not necessarily the right way. With the bead pushed off, it can be cleaned easily. & with a c clamp can be held in to clean better. Not to mention the dyna beads won't be getting jostled around & getting into the bead. I found this online http://www.motoparthub.com/4000_stop...60mm?src=bings but don't want to wait to have it shipped. The c clamp that I have was working but ran out of threads (either to big or to small as to the c clamps I have). Will go out & buy another c clamp, I have need one about that size a couple of times but found an alternative way of getting it done.

I'm just not a fan of Dyna beads. Although, I can't say that I ever though about them unseating bead and causing a leak.

I have been running them for years, maybe 4 sets of tires. Never a problem & had great luck with them. The sidewall on this Avon Cobra is a lot stiffer than all the other tires I have run. Not that it is a bad thing. Just makes it more difficult to getting the beads in the tire. How it got into the bead on the bottom side, beats me. Once I get them cleaned out of the bead & get the tire aired back up, I am sure it won't leak & I will be able to ride again.

Ride -On is looking good -- caus it's also a sealer at the center of the tread

I've had the beads get into the valve at the stem while checking pressure in a car tire , no more beads for me . Air soft BB's are larger for a car tire -- Ride -On for MC for me

ended up taking the wheel off, must have scared the wheel using the tire spoons. Tried something different. Will use the HF/MOJO set up next time. Did not find anything in the bead as for the dyna beads but felt some scratches (it was not the downward side as I had thought, this getting old sucks). Cleaned up the wheel & reseated it, no leaks. So back on the bike it went. Get to ride in the morning. But I did get a c clamp to pull the bead off on the bike, pain to do it that way, just no dyna beads in the bead.
