I currently have an Iron 883, which I really like. However, my job just changed and now twice a week I have a 40 minute(each way) commute. The Iron is not bad except in rain and the fact that I usually have a fair bit of "stuff" that I have to take with me. I always wanted a tourer...too. Alas, two bikes are not a reality if I still also want a wife that I adore.
Simple question is....would you consider the above bike assuming it to be in pretty good condition for the miles? Also knowing that I do not tend to put a ton of miles on my bikes (sadly). My 16 Iron has 1400mi.
I think that's a nice looking bike. How many miles? Btw sometimes it is hard to choose between a bike and your wife that's why I'm on my third and that's not the bike.
That's a nice bike. I think you can. Find newer less miles close to that price. If there was 30k less miles. That price would be great. But. If there was 30k less miles. I'm sure they'd want more.
Nice looking bike. I own an 07 Ultra Classic and love it. That being said, many consider the 07/08 models a kind of bastard year bikes.
They're the first year for the 96ci engine and 6 speed transmission. But they have the older frame and were known to have several first year issues.
This shouldn't necessarily scare you off that bike but it gives you something to research so you can ask the pertinent questions when looking at the bike.
