I tryed looking online I don't see info other then oil pump problems however they seem to be early on I don't see anything new with the oil pump

Asking that question will result in positive answers from M8 owners and of course bad reviews from non-owners.Plus you need to be on the new M8 forum for better results.

Like all things on an Internet forum, the bad is always amplified and often out of proportion. Members on a forum represent a small fraction of actual riders that are out enjoying trouble free miles. The new motors are great. I would be shocked if the oil pump problem even effects 1% of bikes out on the road.

my "oil light problem" was bad solider on sending unit switch never actually had oil pressure issues, just electrically sloppy, that could have happened on a a 103 or 98 just as easy

I'm on a 2013 Switchback. I've test ridden a Road King, SGS (with Stage III) and an RGS. Fantastic machines. The M8 is smoother, pulls harder and carries out the power further into the rev range than a stock 103. I'm a fan!

They are strong!

I would not be afraid of them at all.

I would not trade my 2016 Limited 103 for one. Not enough difference for me to spend the coin.

Go ride one!

I presently have a 2010 Electra Glide 103 Limited. I test rode a new M8 Electra Glide and yes it was faster accelerating, and yes it was smoother, and yes it had build in navigation. It looked like a Harley but it felt like a Honda VTX.
I think years down the road I'll put a SS motor in my current ride instead of buying a new M8 one.

And I miss the "real" Harley's! You're '10 isn't a "real" Harley compared to what some us rode early on.

I miss the my mechanical drum brakes, my points, my kickstarter, my chain, my two candlelight power headlights, my carburetor, and I miss the top ends that didn't last. I miss the solid mounted engine that numbed my man parts and feet within a hour. When those parts woke up they hurt like hell. I miss seeing pie pans under the new Harley's on the showroom floor.

Actually I got over all the improvements in a hurry over the years. I like progress. I also like a reliable bike I can ride 18-30,000 miles a year.

Yes I bought a M8 and I'm already over the TC's. I'm enjoying my new Honda-Davidson!
