I owned and tried a few 103 and 107 with different exhaust combination, but just cant fall in love with them...I do love the touring models
I have come to realize I really love the carbed Evo sound and feel, which is what drew me to harley in the first place.. but dont want to give up updated frame and ABS on touring model...which unfortunately dont come together in road king . That led me to wonder if I can put evo engine on newer rushmore frame.. On brief search it doesnt seem impossible, but was hoping to find any member with similar thoughts and experience..
I know its may not make much economical sense but but I am willing to throw in time and money ( to a certain extent that is...) I also dont care much about power as I ride slow..
My last resort to enjoy evo and abs would be getting a later year sportster with abs and maybe convert to carb...but wanted to explore other option first..

Uh..... no. At least for anything resembling a reasonable price. As stated above, if you have the cash, anything is possible. But converting an EFI-only, CANbus controlled engine (and ABS, etc.) to a carbureted model engine of a long-past motor? Not going to be a plug-and-play.
Buy a good, 1998 EVO touring bike. Ride the hell out of it.

Probably will go that route...I can upgrade swing arms and whatnot, but wish there is a way to retrofit abs!
