2. blow a strong piece of string through the bar openings with a compressor.
3. tie and tape the string to the ends of the wires at the hand grip side.
4. Coat the wires down with lithium grease.
5. feed them slowly from the top to bottom by pulling (easy) one side and pushing the other.
6. Consult the diagram you sketched earlier and replace the pins in the correct locations in the correct connector.
THIS IS VITAL!
7. repeat for the other side.

Hope this helps.
Beat me to it, especially the compressor part.

OP, have those bars (in black) on my Road Glide and quite comfortable.

Based on all the research I've read at least 15 people have stated they made the switch with stock cables. I already have aftermarket cables and my clutch cables is probably +4 so I'm feeling very confident.

I took a bunch of iPhone pictures of each handlebar connector turning it to get the 4 sides, as well as the sketch. Hard to mess it up.

Yes but as I said it was for my Road Glide. Should not be a difference so best of luck. My Road King has been too modified to use as a comparison.

I have an '08 RKC and I went with the exact same bars. Needed to extend both the brake and clutch cables. Went with magnum.

How do those compare with the Heritage bars as far as pullback, rise etc, and how is the slow maneuvering with them. I've got the 518's and they're great for the highway, but suck for slow turning. I'm leaning towards the heritage bars now, but the 515's might be a go.

I did my bars just a couple of weeks ago. I went with Yaffe 10" Apes (1" dia.) because I'd heard that you didn't need anything beyond your stock setup. The pic shows where the stock wires wound up...

I ended up having Amazon overnight me the Namz 8" wiring extensions. I like them! I've still got 9 wires left over, which I'll hang on to for future use. The Yaffe bars had a small round opening, not a nice oval opening like I'd seen on other bars. The 1" bar made getting all of those wires stuffed in there a bit tricky, but I did it with some pushing, grunting, and mineral oil! (It's an all-around, multi-purpose lube!)

I ended up taking about 4/5 days (job, lack of wires, extended the task) but everything works! Signals, cruise, throttle, horn, and it started right off too! So, hooray!

I fed the wires in one at a time, after putting the TBW in all the way (with that fat green plug being just past the first bend) and then attached the wire extension to that mess of wire ends, shrank the heat shrink on them, then electrical taped them from just inside the opening to the plug ends.

Like others mentioned; take notes/pics on where those wires go in the plugs (since you indicated you've done this before, I'm sure you're aware of that importance!) and take your time. I inserted and withdrew the bundles of wire twice on both sides just trying to get them lined up just right, due to the small opening, but everything got finished really nice!

I'm going to go with 12 or 14 apes as a winter project, so I'm getting components now that I'll need to do that; longer clutch cable, longer brake line, and mentally preparing myself for those wires again!

your stock bars are pretty much the same as the bars you bought....i doubt you will need any extensions.... if you do... get the plug and play......anyone that wants to needlessly solder wires for this is a tard
