I thought you guys would get a kick out of this:
I purchased my 07' Street Glide in February. Been dreaming for over 5 years so was very proud to go to my first event which wasJoe Cain Day (Mardi Gras)in Mobile,AL put on by the localShrine. Over 750 bikes, it was awesome! Sitting there in line waiting to go and a gentleman comes up and says"beautiful bike" I say"thanks, just got it". He says " Why is the rear fender greenand the rest of your bike black"I washorrified!Climbed off and took a look and couldn't believe my eyes. Only in direct sunlight could you tell that the rear fender was indeed a deep forest green. Luckily one of the guys from the local dealer was there, so I called him over and of course hesaid they would make it right. They took pictures and send them toHD, within a week they had a vivid black fender in hand andchanged itthe next day.I examined the bike, the dealer assembled, prepped & washed it twice, and noone caught it. Then they tried to tell me that some guycame in andwanted topurchase the black street glide with a green fender. Hehad noticed it whileit was on the showroom floor... Yeah Right!
Happy now, haven't had any other problems and working on 2200 miles.
Same type of thing happened when I bought my first Harley, a new 99 Low Rider. Front rim was a mag and rear was spokes. I asked about it and the dealer just shrugged and said "that's strange". I always figured I would switch one or the other but never did. When I got rid of it for my 06 Classic it was still that way.
