It turns on the Air C-Conditioner
It's as useful as that chrome eject button on the fairing.

Mine controls the Electra Glo light rails around the saddle bags. I would not have necessarily bought them but they were on the bike when I bought it. I do have to admit though, you can see them from the rear

Well, I decided to go outside and take a look-see to see where that ACC switchie-thingie goes, and also looking under the tank to see where I could run the harness for the fog lights.

Well, here's what I found:

Tried moving the tank back a bit to get clearance to look under the tank. Could only move the tank forward about an inch before it hit the steering head. Trying to move it back towards the back of the bike was fruitless also, as the crossover hose to the tank was short enough to limit any rearward travel.

Looks like I'll have to save this project for the winter months for 3 reasons:

1) Too damn humid here to work on the bike today.
2) More work than expected to install the fog light harness as I want to run my harness inside the plastic channel that runs under the tank.
3) Would rather be out riding than sweating all over the chrome![:'(]

I never got to the point where I actually looked under the fascia to see where the wires from that switch go. I'll save that for another day. (See reasons #1 through #3 above)

Lather, rinse, and repeat as necessary...

Cheers!

Bob

i just finished wiring my fog lights to the switch and running everything hidden. took me 3 days, but i am battling mono and strep throat at the same time. if you have a service manual it talks you thru the partial tank removal. that will let you run the wires in the channel. time consuming...yes. but i am very pleased with the finished product. and i did it myself, no dealer prices.

I wired my after market cigarette lighter to it. The lighter was installed in the plastic side cover.
