Default Adding lights vs voltage

At what point when adding extra lights do you need to be concerned with voltage issues

if you look up ohm's law online, you will find a calculator.

enter the voltage and the watts and the amps will be displayed

add up the amps and see if you have a safe margin so that your charging system still has capacity.

100 watts is 8.33 amps- we always add a little for the resistance in the wiring and switch contacts-

one of the advantages of led lights is that they use much less power to produce lumens ( measure of light output) than halogen on incandescent lamps

Hi from the UK and welcome to HDF. I assume your bike is a 2017 Limited? Unless you intend turning your bike into an Xmas tree you may be fine! Also many add-on lights these days are LED, which draw very little power. Tell us what extra lights you have in mind and we can give you some help.

It's not the voltage it's the amps you need to be concerned with.
The stator is only capable of handling so much, 44 amps on newer bikes I think.
Same with the wiring, it has it's limits. If you change to LED's like previously mentioned you can go crazy with lights.
