I have a '14 SG. The stock headlight is pretty pathetic in the twisties at night.
Couldn't see far enough ahead to ride over 45 mph. Can't decide whether to upgrade to LED or add passing lights.

A friend had the same issue. Put a daymaker on and life is good at night/curvy roads.

Spots will work but keep in mind they are about half as bright as the head light.Try an led bulb in the head light .It will make a world of difference.Harley daymakers are great but there expensive.A led bulb from fuel moto is around 60 bucks and they work great.Much wider and farther reaching beam.

Had the HD daymaker in my '15 SGS. Worthless in the turns. Some buddies bought the cheap $35 eBay bulbs and can see 5x better and be seen 20x better. My CVO isn't any better

If you decide to go with the daymaker, go with the reflector not the projector.......As other have said they are expensive but I never heard of anyone complain about interfering with the the radio.....

A Truck-Lite LED is another option for a headlight. They put out a whole lot more light than the stock headlight. Less expensive than the Daymaker.

i put daymaker headlight and spots on my 2013 Ultra Classic Limited the minute i saw them on the 14's. they're great in straight aways or open road. not so much in the twisties, as mentioned earlier. reminds me of an airplane wing banking in the turns. About fifty percent of my riding is during the hours of darkness, commuting to work. don't get me wrong, they're good but i think the comment about the reflector headlights is probably a good choice.

First thing you need to do is correct the aim on your headlight! They come out of the factory pointed at the ground.

Then get some passing lights. See and be seen.

1-Fist thing make sure your headlight is adjusted correctly.

2-DK Customs & Fuel-Moto both sale LED bulbs that improve the stock headlight.

3-Amazon sales a lot of Daymaker type of LED headlights at a lower cost from different manufactures.

I believe your low beam is a H11. Replace with an H9, very easy to mod the bulb to fit. Cheap and easy start. Or at the other end of the scale, a JW Speaker 8900 Adaptive Led.
