Default Jiffy Stand dragging

Hi Guys.
I have a 2015 Street Glide. I have a jiffy stand extension on it because I have short legs. It's a harley brand extension. I noticed today that when I got on the bike, it seemed to be harder to reach the extender. When I went driving and took a left, the extension drags on the ground. Could something have moved on the Jiffy stand? What should I be looking for. Hard to examine it too much without a second person.

Thanks

Need to change the spring. Common problem.

Thanks for the fast reply. The bike only has 2500 miles on it, but I know that doesn't make much of a difference. I would think that if it was the spring, it would hang lower when it was up, but it also seems to be harder to reach the extension when the kickstand is down, like the whole thing moved. Does it still sound like the spring?

Also I was on a trip this last week and noticed that I must have bent the extension forward a little because mine was getting hard to reach, I bent it back in place and everything is fine now( HD fine products )

The easiest way to tell is to have someone steady the bike upright, and see if the stand is drooping down, when it's fully up. If it's flopping, it probably hangs down and drags during turns. That means the spring is shot.,,

I've never had an extension, but has it shifted in some way on the jiffy? Just a passing thought. Have you lowered the rear shocks in any way?

If it's the one that mounts to the tab with one bolt, it will rotate forward if you push on the extension after the jiffy is fully deployed. There is quite a bit of leverage there and the bolt acts like a fulcrum and they tend to twist around that bolt. Make sure it's tight and don't kick the jiffy like it's a starter lever. Lol.

Did you happen to LOOK AT IT before you posted? As far as the spring goes, on the touring frame it is about the lowest part of the bike. It can drag over a speed bump, especially when two up, and become stretched and useless on the way home from the dealer the day you bought the bike. If this happened, mileage is irrelevant. If it turns out to be the spring, check in the maintenance section for the EASY way to replace the spring. Trying to stretch it into place is difficult and will lead to bloody knuckles.

If you try to stretch it into place, you have a better than even chance of ruining it; in which case, you deserve skinned knuckles. Look at the video, maybe a couple of times.
