I'm going to have the dealer install Hogtunes and HD XM Radio upgrade for my '07 FLHTC. I think I'll also have them install the fairing mounted mirrors and an oil temp gauge in place of the air temp gauge.
I'm thinking if I buy the parts from them all at once, I can get free labor since it's convenient to do these at the same time.
Anything else I should have them do while they're in there?
Maybe chrome windshield trim?
How about new handlebars w/internal wiring and braided lines?
free labor? i would be surprised that they do much free, even if you buy the parts from them. usually when you buy a new bike they will install the easy stuff, such as cosmetic items like horn or air cleaner covers forfree, but i'd be surprised if they do all the stuff you listed for free. maybe wrong, but would be surprised.

Do it all...bars, swap your gauges, radio, hidden antennea, install a european headlight and new lamps, braided brake lines, heavier fork oil, the works.
Buy the HD parts fromZanotti's, Chicago HD, Charlie's (formerly Benjy's) and save 20% plus sales tax--on multiple item purchases the shipping expense becomes nominal.
Running wiring inside the handlebars is of little value on an EG, IMHO, since so little of the bars and wiresare visible due to the fairing and the labor charge will be about $400 to do it.
Stainless/chrome brake lines, cruise control, chrome controls, antenna mounted inside the fairing (and get rid of the Tour Pak mounted whip), etc.
And, last but not least, a Service Manual for $58 list; then you could do the work yourself and save all that "free" labor.
It won't matter if you give them all of the part at the same time, or even if you bought them from the dealership doing the install, you are going to get hit with a minimum labor rate PER PART.
Average labor is $75 per hour. So with the mirrors, oil temp gauge, and Hogtunes alone, you're looking at $225.00 labor.
