Simple install but the air temp is useless. Need to get a oil temp gauge instead.

+1 on using an oil temp gauge instead of the air temp gauge.

The plugs that are currently in the holes for the gauges can be pushed out once the fairing is removed, or can be removed from the front with careful use of a 90 degree pick tool.

I put an oil pressure guage and a clock in mine. My 06 model already had the wiring and oil sender unit needed for installation and it was basically "plug and play". You probably won't need the sending unit or the wiring in the kit. You can save some $$$ by just buying the guages separately if your scoot is already prewired. I'll second ditching the air temp guage and replacing it with an oil temp guage or a clock! It took me 30 minutes or so start to finish for the installation of both guages, and getting the outer fairing off was the hardest part of it all.

I have a 2003 Electra glide, I also bought the air and oil pressure gauge kit, it came with all the new wiring and a new sending unit, someone told me I did not need to replace the sending unit that is there now. Pretty much plug in and go. I'm trying to do more of my maintenance, so bare with me on these questions.
