Hey Guys
I got my bike at a dealer for winter storage. I want to install the spun aluminum gauges. To install the gauges they want $360 to install them. I want to have the air temp gauge replaced with a compass. If I were to stick to the air temp gauge it would only be $320. I was windering how hard it would be to install the gauges myself? I know something would need to be done with the mileage?
Thanks,Eric
I just had the painted inner fairing and capput on at my dealer. Since they allready had it apart, they didn't charge me any extra laborto put the spun metal face gages in. I also replaced the compass I had installed with an oil temp gage. I must say, it looks awesome. The speedometer will have to haveyour currentmileage set at the factory before they ship it to you. At least that's how mine was done.
I stopped in at a different dealer today. They told me about 2 hours to put them on. (basic swap) The dealer where my bike is wants 4 hours. Big difference.
so easy a cave man could do it - one point - I found the "low fuel" light is next to impossible to see in daylight on the spun alum guages... For get paying someone $$$$$ to do this job.... you can do it...
