Default Jiffy stand angle

my new 2017 street glide, I feel like the stand is straight out to the side and as such just a little bit of forward pressure would trip it. Is there any adjustment that can be done on these? All my previous bikes the stand would go a bit further forward so that there was more weight on it and you would hvae to tip the bike to move off it.

It locks into place. Your bike isn't going anywhere. Hop on it and ride it.

look very carefully at your jiffy stand. when the bike is leaning over on it, there is a tab that locks into a slot. you can push your bike forward or back and it isn't coming off the stand.

fret not, 'they all do that'.....

Be sure also to make sure that top bolt is tight. Once you understand it, it's pretty obvious when it's locked it. And yes, when it is, it does rock a little. However, that is so no matter how much crud gets on it, it still locks in. (I know, none of us let's crud get on it..but just in case..)

As we all know, the dealer made sure all connections and fasteners were torqued to specifications before they delivered the bike to you.

No adjustments needed. About 1:00 min in this video illustrates that.

When I bought my first Harley, over 40 years ago, I used to mess with my buddies by parking it pointing uphill or downhill so it would roll and drag the stand with it, unless I engaged gear. Try it - then you will understand and be able to pull the same trick!

It is said that the jiffy was designed by CHP, so an officer could roll to a stop and tread the stand down as he got off his bike, while drawing his trusty revolver - all nonchalent like......
