Default Tour pack crack's ?

Should I be worried. Is there anything to stop the cracking. Like drill and fill at ends, or is it best to leave alone. I have the marks to see if they get worse.

I had a bigger crack then that and all you can do is buy a new one. autobody place wouldn't touch it.

Mine was in considerably worse shape than that appears to be. Previous owner hit it up pretty hard with fiberglass patch on the inside. Ugly as hell in there, but covered up with a liner. Looks fine from the outside, and hasn't gotten any additional cracking since I've had it. The patch is thick enough around the hinges that the stock screws from the hinge upgrade kit barely grabbed threads. Learned this the hard way when I almost lost the lid opening it at a stop. 8 longer screws from Fastenal fixed that issue.

Mine cracked by not by the hinges yet. It cracked from the front mounting screws up behind the rider back pad. I drilled the ends and used an appropriate patch/filler material from the inside. No more cracking since.
Be aware that not all tour packs are the same material. Some were fiberglass and some, I wanna say, are abs. Find out which you have so you can get repair stuff that's compatable.

drill the rivits out and install a bigger metal plate to cover the damage and give more support to the area.
