Hello everyone. I have a 2008 EGUC 105th and I installed a QR system for the tour pak. Unfortunately I don't like that the tour pack raises the center of gravity for the bike and for versatilities sake I want to be able to use a passenger backrest also.
Questions:
1. What year passenger backrest will work for the ultra?
2. What kind of hardware do I need to make it work?
my searching so far for online q&a hasnt been very productive and is frustrating.
You say you installed a QR system which I assume you mean quick release (i.e. detachable). If so, you should have already installed the docking points I would imagine (58304-06). If so, a detachable passenger backrest 97-08 will fit. That is all you should need if you already installed the appropriate docking points for your tour pak. You can get a kit with pad and upright, or you can get an upright in your desired size and buy a pad.
I have a detachable backrest that came from a 01 Road king but it doesn't fit. The rear QR point also sits pretty far back so the backrest would not be flush with the passenger pad.
