Default wobble

Hey guys and girls, I wanted to know if anybody has a cure for a front end wobble on a 2001 Road King Classic. I just started to notice it this week even at slower speeds, if it is the neck bearing how hard is it to check, I sure would appreciate any info once again thanks in advance.

TD, Are you running spokes? If so you might check front and rear. I have an 03 RK and after my rear tire was changed out, about 1/2 of the spokes were so loose I could turn them with my hands. It caused a front end wobble that 1st occured at 75-80 but as speed decreased the wobble still happened. You might do a search here also this apparently is a pretty common problem and there has been a lot of discussion on it. Good luck and ride safe.

How many miles are on your Scoot? 40+? Check your stabiliser links, esp. the one between the jugs. If they are shot they need replaced.

Take your middle right finger tip and put it on the Heim joint end behind your air cleaner and shake the bars with your left hand voilently while stratteling the bike off the jiffy stand. Any percieved movement in the Heim joint replace both.

Just did mine $100.00, took about 1 hr. Next time it wont take as long.

I just want to thank you guys for your input , I took the bike to an independent and he said it was the rear spokes being loose, so while he was doing that I told him to slap on two new tires while he had it apart I figured it would save me a little on labour. Anyway bike is now running good and he only charged me $396 not bad for tires and fixing my problem
