Hi guys, looking to mount the GPS but not on the bars or inner fairing do to the vibration. Has anyone done this or have any other ideas on where to mount it? I
I have the garmin 590LM going on a 13 streetglide.
I had a Zumo 660 mounted to my handlebars on my previous touring bike, and never any problems with that mount. It is now mounted to my Dyna handlebars and although that bike shakes like crazy at idle, it still works great on that bike also.
Why not mount it to the bars ?
BTW Try a Glare Stomper to cut down on the GPS screen glare...Money well spent.

Go to M8 section what did you do your M8 today almost last page look at this member's CVO SG handle bar mount it looks awesome.
I have two HD touring bikes and use the handlebar mount on both. Had one on last bike as well. Matter of fact, when I eventually end up with a newer bike with infotainment pretty sure I will keep using regarding what I have with all that I have read about infotainment/GPS.

Thanks, Not sure of what pic you are referencing though. The mount on my bars is for my phone and cup holder. Made a single mount from SS to mount both items. Anyways....
I made a quicky GPS mount for a buddy's '13 SG. Its nothing more than a 1" wide SS piece that uses the center W/S hole, with a bend to run right above fairing and under storage pouch, then a bend up with a ball I turned to mount his Garmin. Its somewhat visible in 1st pic. No vibration at all, and its right dead center easy to see.
I have a RAM mount low on the bars. This prevents the whip from the end of the bars. Then I use an appropriate length arm to bring it (GPS) up behind fairing. No vibration or whip to worry about.
