Got a buddy that has a super nice 2014 limited and has chosen to park it. He bought a 2017 limited to ride knowing it doesn't have heated grips or a cb standard like his '14. He is thinking of taking the grips and cb off the '14 and putting them on the '17.
I told him why not just swap the bars all together since they are the identical bars on each bike and move the cb radio over also. Question is: are the connections on the bars the same in the fairing so he could do this?
Also will he have to go to the dealer to get a flash on the radio where it will recognize the cb?
I do not know the answer to your question. However that seems like a lot of trouble.
Is he keeping the 14? If so he needs to leave those options on it since he likes them. If not he will decrease the valve of the bike if he tries to seek it without them.
If he can afford the two bikes surely he can have the dealer add the cab and heated grid options to the new 17 and enjoy them both.
