On this same subject, sort of. I have the se ac, and want to change the element to the k & n. Do I need the hd-0800, 3909 or 3910 or which one? I took the cover off today, and was thinking of putting on just a 6" cover on the face of it, leaving the element exposed. Does anyone have a part number for a face cover? I know that it wont be good in the rain, but I can carry the original cover in my bags with an allen wrench. Also, does anyone sell just a chrome backing plate? The silver one on the se ac is ugly, next to the chrome.
I have the SE A/C and just replaced the filter with a HD 0800. Fits perfectly.
Thanks for asking that PapaTravis, I'm gonna have to check Napa, as we don't have an autozone anymore, oh, and thanks glide and spartan for the replies.
i wanted to put the se on my wifes bike and went to autozone to order the k&n filter. they were not able to get it anymore. i had got mine from there just a few months ago, but now, their computer says 'not available'. ended up getting it from cyclespot.com for 48 and some change shipped.
I had the same situation when I got mine at autozone, but with a little prodding they found it. Seems it it not listed correctly, either under Harley A/F or the o8oo number bit it is there if they want to find it.
