Default Tire Question

Ok so I will need a new back tire at the beginning of next year and possibly at the end of this year and I have decided to go with Michelin Commander 2's. My question is I dont really need a Front tire yet as it has a lot of life left on it. The dilemma is I don't like running mismatch tires. Ideas thoughts suggestions? Current tires are the stock dunlops.

You are fine. Just so you don't mix bias and radial. That can get unstable at speed.

I wouldn't toss a tire just cuz it doesn't match...I'd use it up, then replace to match the other. You may end up by doing research that you'd prefer another brand and type of tire, anyway.

im running a radial in the back and bias in the front, no issues, low or high speed.

in my opinion, probably a historical issue back when tire technology was not as good as today or an ole wives tale, started by Chuck's Deluxe to sell more tires

i could be wrong, i missed my night in a holiday inn express this week

The front tire is good enough I'll probably just change it out to match the back with a michelin and sell it to a guy that's hard up for a tire for like 10 bucks.
