bagger bumber towing
add miles, when not running.
bad for transmission.
easy loading and unloading.
possible clearance issues.
One brand is slick *****.
The gentleman i observed was driving a pick-up and the bike was a road king.
While riding straight everything seemed fine.
Turning required very wide slow smooth turns because the bike did not tilt as it tried to follow.
Since the bike front end can not tilt it caused what looked like skipping of rear tire in turns.
I would imagine that it could place some stress at the neck of the bike but then again if the driver was careful then it would be less with the wide low speed turns.
A downside i can see would be a flat tire or excess tire wear.
The other downside might be the required hitch rating on the vehicle.
To me it seems like something that might be useful for maybe a short bike transport (50 miles?)
Finally, some bikes are not designed to roll with the engine off due to lubrication design.
If storage space for a trailer is a concern then something like the port a chopper or a used trailer in a bag might be an option. They are expensive but they fit in the trunk of a car when not in use or in the corner of a garage.
