Ping - Are you certain cam chain tensioners would be covered under an ESP? I thought they were considered normal wear items just like tires and brakes etc?
If you go with the gear drives then you don't have to worry about the chain tensioner breaking.
Pawnbroker, You're from MD. Did you buy your thundermax directly from Zippers? I'm trying to break the 100/100 club, and i'm wondering if the Thundermax may get me there.
I was going to but Annapolis HD stocks them and they are doing the work so I am getting it there. It is in for the 1000 mile service. I did bring them Fat Cat's to install at the same time. They will install parts bought at outside vendors. I don't know if that is usual. It kind of surprised me. A lot of places make you buy the parts from them. Another reason I went ahead and bought it from them was I figured if I have any warranty problems, they will do them without a problem.
Very cool. I get 15% off everything at Annapolis becauseI used to own a V-rod and they have a V-rod club. I buy most of my stuff there for that reason. My bike is tuned really well with the PCIII, but I'm intrigued by the Thundermax.
