I'm going to replace my plug wires as they have never been done and I'm getting a slight miss so Ill start with them. I need to get me a service manual, but until I do, are they difficult to do and do I have to remove the tank? 2003 Road King Classic.
Anyone that says no need to remove tank has never done it. By all means and be advised the plugs going into the coil can be a bugger to get off, at least were on my 01 Road King.
Edit. Just remembered I only had too loosen the rear of tank but did have to raise, not remove front of tank. It would be a much easier job however with the tank removed.

There's a nylon keeper or two that you should too...
Now...about that manual, Randy! How long have you been saying you're gonna get one? Hmmmm? And, now the price may have doubled plus! I'd get my buttocks down to the dealer and see if they have one in stock at the old price of $48 or $60...there have been reports that they are now $130+!
I removed my tank. So I could route them better. Also while I was at it I installed a quick disconnect connector in the crossover line. Now tank removal is a breeze.

Interested in what you used as a quick disconnect.
I haven't come up with a good idea yet......Thanks
