Wrong Bike
Unfortunately, just not for her. She thought she would like, tried it, and did not like it.
I have been considering the quick release, but I will probably bite the bullet, take the loss, and sell it. I actually just posted it online. I will see if I get any interest. If not, maybe I will make it more solo worthy.
Appears that you consider her not ridding a game changer even for you ridding. I truly would not fill comfortable riding on the back of a bike and cannot really blame her.
Dump it at a good price. Sure you are going to lose some but you can get a transferable extended warranty to pass on. Put it on Crags and Ebay with a good honest listing, sell it local at a better deal then a dealer can do. You can sell it with 250 miles.

We've all at one time made a serious decision error.
For me it was in '02.
My wife had a '99 Heritage that had chrome everything, lowered, and I had set-up a a solo bike with the leather tour pack that doubled as a rider backrest.
It was a low mileage, well taken care of bike that looked like a new bike BUT I decided to get her on a RK.
SO, we ordered her a RK in Ruby Rich Red (she didn't like the AE colors).
We had the chrome front end, electronic cruise control, lowered (front and rear) and a few other items installed before it left the dealership.
While we were waiting for it to arrive, I bought V&H slip-on mufflers, fender bumpers (front and rear), etc., etc.
We also ordered the "Gold Key" package and all of the 100th Anniversary Badges, including the Sundown seat and windshield bag.
When the dealer called for us to come and pick it up, she couldn't take off work so I had a friend drive me out and I rode the bike the 60 or so miles home.
When my wife got home from work, her exact words were "I don't like the WW tires".
My enclosed trailer was sitting in the driveway so I put the bike inside the trailer and THREE days later, it went back to the dealer for 'NEW' BW tires!
(I used the WW's on my Ultra).
Once the bike was home again, I had my wife sit on it, and she didn't like the handlebars (not like her Heritage).
I installed a set of RK "Sport" bars on it and she liked them as they reach back farther.
I installed the longer engine guard foot pegs, chrome fillers for the saddlebag to fender gap, a PC whatever number tuner (it's never been activated) as well as some other things that I know I'm missing.
By this time (she was still riding her Heritage) cold weather had began so the bike sat in the garage until the spring of "03.
On a nice Saturday morning (sunny but a little cool) I told her that it was time for her to ride her RK!
She got on her Heritage and I rode the RK into town and we filled 'em both up with gas.
She got on the RK and rode it exactly ELEVEN miles and stopped!
Again, her exact words were "You can have it, I like my Heritage better"!
We finished out that day as I wanted to get a few miles on the bike to make sure everything worked well.
In June, '12 I rode this bike to the nearest H-D dealership and had new tires and tubes installed and it has not been out of our driveway since.
I just got it down from the lift a week ago and started it up (and installed a used battery) and we washed and waxed it.
It has a grand total of 295 miles on it!!!!
IF I sell it, I'll lose my *** on it, ad if I start riding it, it will simply be another 15 year old motorcycle.
The way I look at it, I haven't lost a penny until I sell it and I doubt that it will depreciate much more than it already has.....but I could also be dead wrong.
Cheers dude, you're not alone!

Only a game changer for the Ultra. I still have other bikes that I ride on my own. It was just the Ultra was for both of us - great bike, but I have others that I like better for solo riding. I have to admit, I also would not feel comfortable on the back of a bike.
My wife no longer rides with me and I've got no problem with that. After she stopped about 7 years ago, she tried to talk me into stopping also. I told her "I was riding Motorcycles long before I was riding you, and I have no intention of stopping".
As as long she doesn't give me any grief, it's all good. You might consider hanging on to the land yacht to use for beer runs and such.

I have an ad up on another site for $26,500. I also added Nostalgic shifter pegs, large brake pedal, and rider and passenger footboards.
