Best of both worlds and my wife of 32-yrs loves the Bullitt...brings us back to dating in early 80's when I had a 1969 Mach-1. Note: Sorry the car pic's upside down...shows fine on my laptop...damn Chinese technology.
Thanks - I also have a '17 Lowrider S. Great bike that I simply love. I am going to take a hit, but will probably just sell the Ultra.

Unfortunately after only 250 miles on the bike, she realized she prefers four wheels. Has anyone ever realized very quickly that the bike they bought was the wrong bike? If so, did you trade it for a different bike or just sell it soon after buying (probably taking a really big hit)?
Lose the wife and get/keep the bike YOU want and like! That's a win-win, no matter how you look at it!

Seriously though, if she just ain't the bike-ridin' type, then ya gotta respect that and do mostly solo rides.

Try this. Once a week dinner ride. Involve her in the ride. Start off not a long one. Branch out . Weekend trip to a place She enjoys. Wife has been riding with me 41 years. Her enjoyment and mine come from different parts of the ride.
Pass on removing tour pack the dam things rattle after awhile just a waste of money IMO.
You have a bagger own it ride it.

I am with the other guys that say quick release the tourpack and ride it. You might start really liking the radio/gps and hard storage. On the flip side if she was interested enough at the beginning she might come around to it after time. Women are fickle and often change their minds.

It takes time to learn how to ride cant just hop on and go. For having to be a passenger would be boring as hell could not do it. May just take some getting use to plan some rides were she may want to go. Plus ride easy and slow do some site seeing get use to the bike Good luck

I think from reading your post that [you] have decided to sell it, it sounds like you have the financial ability to do which ever, good luck with the sale. I hope you can recoup most of the money spent. I have had most every style bike out there, from 300-1200 cc sport bikes, metric cruisers, sportsters, I even had an iron horse chopper, but my favorite by far is my stripped down ultra classic. Put some picture of the bikes and the wife and you will get even more comments. lol

Sell or trade. So you loose a couple grand (whatever). Might as well get the money back in the bank or get something you can enjoy. Sooner the better, the value isn't going up and you are moving quickly into the wrong season for selling.

OP, I hear ya that you pretty much have your mind set on selling the Ultra...I get that. There was a time that I wasn't into touring bikes, and to this day, I've never had a hard core Harley touring bike...I have a Street Glide which is a little of both worlds, but I get what you're sayin'...good luck to ya...glad you have your 'S' to ride!

Tough subject that nobody can really provide the perfect answer to. If she prefers 4 wheels, is it because of risk, comfort, something else?
We just switched from 2 wheels to 3 wheels, mostly because of age and she loves it. She loved 2 wheels too and we put a lot of miles together on 2 wheels but she feels now much more secure and she is much more comfortable on the Triglide. I don't know your age and I don't need to know but have you thought about it?
Good luck with whatever conclusion you come to.
