roadglide riser
I am changing my bars on a 2013 road glide, and the new bars are 1.25 inches, so i have to change out the riser. do i need to remove my triple tree cap to get to the mounting bolts of the lower half of the riser. if so is there anything special i need to look out for when i remove that cap piece?

you will need to remove speedo and tach, maybe the speedo tach plastic housing since this is your first time
on most touring bikes especially road glides, there is a ground wire under the riser which bolts to the triple tree.
since you are changing the riser, i assume you will also be changing the rubber out to poly or something much stiffer and with less flex.
note the location of the ground wire and make certain you get it back in place prior to tightening the riser bolts
i start with the ground wire side and finish on the non ground side.
torque the bolts to spec, use locktite and don't over think it.
