I have a pair that I only use when it's cold. They work great at keeping 70mph cold off your legs in the seated position.

As someone who has suffered a fractured shin from road debris, they are a decent deterrent but given the limited protection, especically on some of the thinner versions, installing lowers on the bike is more effective for road debris.

As to passenger use, see a high percentage of passengers using them as lowers are not real effective for passengers.

While hdforums members may dig these knee high chaps things, here is what should be wearing such things:

Although I suspect many of the women behind some of the riders here may have more of this style:

Sailmotion and I agree. My main thought was to aid in rocks etc. being kicked up and finding my shins. Granted, they may not be much good in a slide but I'm not planning on sliding any time soon. I'll leave that to the guys with the "**** ant" cars that like to do donuts in the street and leave lots of rubber behind. Dumb
Thanks again for all the links.

Remember? He still has a pair....probably stored in the attic thinking that at some point they're going to come back in style!

Right....Mr. Fluffy!

I'm only serious, Shannon.....don't get your knickers in a wad....you might feel compelled to thump me the next time you're in Cali, and I really don't want one of those!
