I have a 2014 Ultra limited with 28,000 miles when i lean to the left it makes a ticking noise. I use synthetic motor oil 20/50 I just started hearing it - bought it used with maintenance records bike has been well taken care of but this is my first long trip on it and rode it really hard the first day because of a delay in my trip. Don't know if y'all have ever heard of this noise before but its weird that it only does it to the left. any info will be helpful.
Once I started using Lucas stabilizer in my engine oil (25%) most of my valve train noise disappeared. Still have some at higher rpm' s with no load, but seems to be a normal amount
if it only happens when you lean to the left i would start by looking at other things besides the engine.
hears one for you to try,but you get the idea:try shifting foot pressure on the floor boards, have had that one stump me a few times, tighten shim...ect as needed.

And, or , try to put pressure on shifter with to ,or heal, worth a shot
