Default Dying after 35 min ride

My 1999 Harley Road King has been dying out after I ride about 35 minutes. I let it sit for 10 min and it goes again for a bit then dies again. Seems every time it heats up it dies out? After a cool down over night it will go 35 min. tops?

Probably not the regulator, but there have been situations in which one of the relays have been bad. Another idea is the crank position sensor...but there are a number of things it could be. OP, get you a factory service manual mo' ricky tick, it is absolutely essential for this job.

There was a TSB way back when about the main circuit breaker barely carrying the load, over the years that C/B was degrading with the heat of current going through it. Then this C/B was tripping off, after cooling it would allow current again. Try replacing the main circuit C/B.

Sounds like the circuit breaker to me. Had a similar problem a few years ago. I was driving and lost all power. few minutes later everything came back on. drive 15 minutes or so and lost all power again. Changed the circuit breaker and all was good.
