2009 Model
Talked to a dealer today. HD will possibly come out with a model incorporating the V-rod engine onto a dresser chassis! Supposedly not much change for 2008, but 2009 is suppose to be different.
That's all the gossip for now....

I betcha dollars to donuts, this forum has a few snipers that know the skinny on the new sleds for '08 and '09.
No doubt in my mind.
They don't post their info for fear of hostile return fire...
Get it? [sm=icon_quiet.gif].....you know the song by the Go-Go's....our lips are sealed.....go figure.....you gotta love the suspense.......and anticipation.

well it wouldnt suprise me to hear that...now i have no connection
to anyone in the know, so this is just my best guess.....
but the v-rod was just a way for them to get a radiator harley
out on the road and get their customers used to it....now with the
pollution restrictions and changes comin down the pike in California
and everywhere else (for 2009 and beyond ) we might see the
liquid cooled engine, or a version of it, appear on the full line eventually.
mind you it will still look better that the japanese counterparts, that still
look like they stick the radiator on as an afterthought....at least the
v-rod has some design and style to it...it actually fits the bikes shape
and look. doesnt look like a picture frame welded to a lawn chair.
just my thoughts, such as they are.

I wouldn't mind seeing the VROD engine as an option on dressers, but wouldn't like the idea of doing away with the air cooled engines. If they do, I'll never part with my RK and maybe add one of these new VROD engine dressers.
I believe him, talked to my dealer and he said Harley will be coming out with
a Hybrid in 2010.

There have been Revolution based bagger rumours for years, HD has had prototype motors up to 2400cc submitted for EPA testing .. Eventually they will build them , but as long as people buy air cooled , even if they are under powered , over leaned and over priced .. they'll build them.
well it always struck me as odd, coming out with the v-rod,
they had eric buell and the sporty bikes, why do this one.
and the ah ha moment was the liquid cooled engine...
and i thought, the sneaky devils are gonna turn to the
dark side and make us drive american goldwings one day soon.....
anyways, i m hangin on to these 2 bikes for as long as
they can be driven....and with our winters here in montreal,
they should last a while
