Default Air ride questions

I'm considering installing air ride this winter. I have progressive coil overs 12inch, so it has a 1 inch drop over factory. Now my question is this I'm looking for that certain stance, to achieve it I'd need 11.5-11-75 shocks. That being said would air ride compromise that by saying having to ride around with say 40psi and barely airing the shocks up so that it had that particular stance. I don't want to ride around at 13 inches because that is what it takes to make a comfy ride and then only be able to drop it when it's parked.

I have 13 inch air ride shocks. I air up to 13 when riding and then air down as I'm coming to a stop. The trick is that I put an Ultra switch housing on the left with PTT on my Streetglide and used the PTT as my air ride control switch. I can air up and down without having to take my hands off the bars. Easy as hitting the volume control or turn signals.

That's the exact point I'm making, I don't want to air up to 13 inches while riding I want it to sit at 11.5. I don't want to put air ride on so that it looks like a stock bike when riding, but only drops when I have it parked.

I wouldn't call it much to learn I'm just after something specific and don't want to compromise. I don't want to waste time and money with air ride if it doesn't give me the look I'm after. I'll reiterate I don't do long trips, so all this talk about I don't know what I'm doing because I need brakes for better doing while on the highway or that air ride is great for long trips. I was considering it because to buy a decent set of coil overs is 200 buks I Vann install air ride for not much more

Your 93 FLHS has air shocks already, no?

Install a Burly lowering kit (about a hundred bucks) & let the air out of the shocks, or for even less, check ebay for a set of struts; you can find them there for about ten bucks.

no, have 12 inch coil overs. And don't want to use the stock air shocks. I can but 11.5 air shocks but again for just a little more can have fully adjustable air ride. Same with the lowering kit. For another 150 can have air ride. And don't really like the idea of lowering blocks.

The air ride on my bike has about 5 inches of travel, they go from 9.25 deflated to 14 all the way up. I normally ride around with up about 2-3 inches, then dump the air when I go to park it.

that's what I'm looking at for my bike. Is the ride quality decent at 2-3 inches even riding double up?
