Road King won’t start...help please

Does anyone know if when I’m looking inside the tank through the fuel pump replacement plate, I can see the fuel return line in the back right hand side of the tank, I don’t see any fuel being pushed out of it while bike is running, I do remember when I first replaced fuel pump that a large volume of fuel was coming out of that return line, yesterday when I took that top plate back of I turned key on so ya pump turned on and primed and no fuel came out of return line, I started bike it ran and still no fuel from return line. Shouldn’t there be fuel coming from that return line????
