So...a question for those that has put risers and mx bar´s on -13 and older road glides, i started this job tonight and this i going to take som time, the previous owner has extended all the wires and destroyd 3 of four conectors in the process but i´ll save that for later, the first problem i ran in to is that i can´t get to the riser bolts from undernith, there semems to som kind of cover there, anyone know what my next step would be ? how much do i need to remove ?

I am not 100% sure if the frame and top tree have a similar setup on the older models compared to the newer models, but turn your front end full right and/or full left and see if you can get to the riser bolts then. I know on the newer models you can't get to these bolts when the front end is full straight but can be accessed when at full turn.

Well i feel kind of stupid now for not thinking of that so thank you so much for that, went straight to the garage and checked it out and no problem at all to get to them.
Now to find som new conectors, is there any aftermarket brand for this or is it HD all the way ?
As much as I like the look with no crash bar, I tend to screw around on this bike and I would rather not have to fix a bunch of **** should I biff it in a parking lot somewhere...lol. Ordered the Imzz Original crash bar, should have it soon. Went with that as opposed to the Santoro/Bung King style simply because I'm not a huge fan of the look on baggers - just a personal preference thing. Meanwhile, here's the bucket looking good leaning over more than a bum on his 3rd bottle of Thunderbird...
Anybody swapped from the Special stretched bags to standard bags know the factory hole specs for the speaker lids ? Picked up a pair of standard bags and trying to figure out where and how big to drill the hole for the speaker wire on the back side of the bag.

This thread is awesome. Im looking to start a build on my 19 RGS and am wondering what specific brake upgrades you savages are runnin. Livin in WA state with more curves than straight aways, Im in the camp of making it handle nice in the twisties and stop well before chasing power.
I hear guys throwin out that they have Brembos and Berningers to name a couple and also wonder about Lyndalls. Id like to hear what calipers, rotors (and size rotor) and master upgrades youve found and are happy with.

Lyndall has enough cracking rotors and bad reviews that I wouldnt spend my money there, but thats up to you.
The factory calipers aren't bad, and youll see a big improvement with just pads and rotors...EBC or Galfer, IMO. That's always been good enough for me.
But if you want the best of the best you can upgrade to a radial Brembo or Beringer caliper, with beringer, galfer, or ebc rotors.
There are also kits to run the stock calipers with bigger (13-14") rotors from Ness, Trask, Galfer etc.
All depends how wild you wanna get and $$$$.
