haha, I know I've bugged you a few times over the years between this bike and your old lowrider when I had my S. And thanks, it's much better than spending 200 more bucks for an aftermarket fender.

Don't know how many miles you have on your bike but my 07 had bad wobble which a was able to fix by replacing the swingarm bearings. Instead of self aligning spherical bearings (stock) I put in 2 regular ball bearings per side that I purchased from the Sta-Bo guy. The Sta-Bo guy said that the stock bearings are typicaly good for 40,000 miles of regular riding, hard riding will wear them out quicker. When i replaced mine I had about .010-.015 play in the spherical bearings. I wasn't able to hit 85 without the death wobble now I have gone considerably faster (115-120) with no problems.

Hey @gartec81 what did you do to fix your rear axle slip after you fixed it? I'm trying to take some preventative measures for when I add the cams.

Get an aftermarket rear axle like MJK or Kraus. You can go cheaper and just get axle locks.

Standard shocks (I'm assuming this means 13") calls for 3/8" - 9/16" of deflection

I'm not a math genius, what's the trend here? Where would this line up with total deflection for a 14" shock?

I had the same thought. Given that taller shocks call for more deflection, I would think you'd want to be closer to the 9/16. That's just my .02.

Made some progress in the slow transition. Bassani road rage installed and standard bags hoping to know out suspension and handlebars before summer also. Engine build next season probably

I'm glad someone brought this backup because we never nailed it down.

Again, not a mathematician but I think if you followed the trend of that chart into a 14" shock you would be given a deflection range of 1/2" - 11/16"

With that being said, I'll just aim for 9/16" which will be (9) of the notches in the belt deflection window.
