There some things things it is not prudent to save money on. Foot boards that fall off or break because they're cheap are one of those things. The Flo FB look awesome and at the price point, had better be worth it.
Well I can say the Flo's definitely do NOT suck...
They feel like they're actually made out of quality materials and aren't going to break the second I stand on them. Only thing I need to play with is the shims - there's a little bit of back and forth play even with the included wavy washer spacers but I can live with it for now. Much, much better. Definitely some truth to the saying "buy once cry once" lol.
Ordered a set of Shinko 777's (well the rear, shop set aside the front they had in stock for me.) Stock rear is about toast. Can't believe how hard it is to find a tire in this size. For comparison - Shinkos are on backorder until 10/1, I looked into a set of Dunlop American Elites - apparently those are backordered until late Oct-Nov...crazy times
16 TC SG. Current build running S&S 124 w/supporting mods inj, TB 66mm, TTS, clutch, etc. Suspension setup w/ Ohlins 44's @ 14", front GP 25mm cartridges. Brakes setup w/big rotor kits with 6 piston calipers front & rear. Chasis setup w/True Track and Alloy art motor to frame braces, Poly engine mounts, swingarm w/Sta Bo & Talons 19 / 18 combo. Works great as my regular daily ride and canyon ripper. Happy so far with the build. Future plans are for PM wheels, TD swingarm and Baker trans (when this one goes).
sick bike man!!!! Nicely done and those future mods are exactly what I would do. Awesome!
Still waiting on my tires...well the rear one only...neato. Has allowed me to tear into the Dyna a bit, figured out my "slipping clutch" was the whole clutch pack walking off the main shaft because the nut had almost backed all the way off. Found an entire clutch off a wrecked 04 softail local which I slapped in today. Pretty sure the splines aren't supposed to look like that...
Put the old girl on the scales today, 714lbs with half a tank of gas. Anyone else put their bagger on a weight loss program?
I am really curious as to what mine weighs. Havent made the trip to a scale yet. Id assume Im somewhere around what you are. Ive ditched a lot of **** and have some carbon goodies.
