Ben there. Done that. The BMW's are a superior motorcycle. The only thing you need to spend money on is a radar detector. I just got tired of not being able to place both feet on the ground, and don't tour much anymore. Hence the new SGS.
Shes finally getting where I wanted her to be . Couldnt afford /justify 600 bucks for gauge mounts so i used 24 dollar 04 fxd mount. Hidden ignition toggles and inset indicator light bar under the radio

I need to relocate my gauges up to my bars too. I cant stand not being able to see them behind the risers. Was it pretty straight forward? I assume everything needs to be extended?

that depends man. I can only speak to the 2013-older Since mines a 12. A Dyna gauge mount wont work on the newer gauges for one. But Im terms of wiring, no I didnt need to extend anything for the gauges . I did take everything off the triple tree and replaced the huge ignition switch with another toggle setup with hidden killswitch style button . And dremeled out the fairing for the toggle and indicator light bar. But other than that, all the wires that go to the gauges were plenty long
I love this thread, makes me want to go out and spend all that money I don't have!
Seriously, I can't wait to get started on my RG. Bars, seat, tuner, intake, exhaust, suspension and then hopefully I can start the power increase............
