Many of us dont have moms near or are too dear to ask such things of. Then becomes a point of words, lawful threats then fists, preferably in that order. Im sure the business persons are having a good laugh at the outcome. Maybe next time send your wife or girlfriend
The shop is next to my mom's apartment so figured she was a good go-to to avoid me going up there and getting into a fight. Hell, this ENTIRE thread is just about somebody wanting to pick up a part because the shop said they were too busy to schedule installation. This should have been a non-issue except the owner seems to think that "drop if off and I'll get to it when I get to it" is a good business plan and then decides to threaten people who don't agree with that.

"ENTIRE" ... maybe you should just give it up and all the dust would settle and we could just ... well ... give it up?
I never post bad reviews but I wanted to share this with anyone living in my area of Arizona...
I had an issue about scheduling repairs for my bike and I politely told them I would just pick up the parts and be done. I asked my mom to pick them up (she's 70) because it was close to her house and when she got there Bob started yelling at her. I called him up later to see what the issue was and he literally told me to come up there and fight him. The guy is insane. If you live in this area, do NOT deal with this place.
"I had an issue about scheduling repairs for my bike and I politely told them I would just pick up the parts and be done." This seems to be the beginning of an argument.
I am trying to understand this post and where it went wrong. please explain the comment above.
No matter what the issue, yelling at an old woman seems a little childish. I think i'd be down there looking at the guy eye to eye.......

I had them order a part (front monotube) a week ago. They told me they couldn't schedule installation until the part arrived. Fine. I called them after the part arrived and asked to schedule, they said they couldn't because they had too many bikes waiting on repairs. I said 1 week... 2 weeks? They said "they will get to it when they get to it" so I said I'll pick up the part and take the bike elsewhere. This is when the owner of the shop lost his mind. We ended up in a screaming argument on the phone. I was pissed and I knew that I would end up in a fight if I went in person so I asked my mom to pick it up. It's really that simple. I didn't think this idiot would start yelling at her just for picking up a part. All I was trying to do was get front monotubes installed and they were quite friendly until I said I wasn't willing to wait weeks for installation.

... I'm still not mentally adjusted enough to simply walk away.
....... sorry to hear that. Hope you're getting help for it.
.... i still wouldn't have sent my Ma
......... take along a neighbor, good friend, a couple riding buds, but don't send yer Ma, that's just bad form ...... and possibly dangerous, if 'Bob' is as whacked as advertised

I had military friends offer to go up there and "talk to the guy". Again - not worth it. None of this is worth ending up in jail. I'm shocked that so many people here seem to think that going up there and getting into a fight vs just resolving it (like I did) was the better solution. All I wanted was my part and I'm letting others know that this guy isn't worth dealing with.

MAJ.....go and have a bloody mary and relax. What people think isn't worth defending yourself until you're blue in the face. Again....no one is perfect, and I suspect that to do it all over again you might approach it differently. Beyond that....who cares?!!

Actually, I would have done it the same. The issue was resolved with no conflict beyond words being exchanged so I consider that a good ending.
