I am in the process of getting a new battery and am debating between the OEM Harley and the Duracell 2yr warranty from Batteries + Bulbs. Why? Because if I do have an issue I either go to a Harley dealer of which there are quite a few and the same go for Batteries +
Isn’t it quite a hassle to deal with a mail order or amazon or anyone else you order from on line? I would think it’s a pain in the *** to ever have to return a bad battery.
IMO
Thanks
My order from last year, no issues at all. My understanding is that many of these along with HD brand are made at the same plant.
You are correct. I called East Penn out in Pa. and yes they confirmed that HD and the Duracell and others are made in that plant. They did confirm also that none are really identical, i.e. slightly different CCA which is no big deal as long as they are close. I just want to be able, if needed, to be able to do a hassle free exchange if necessary.
I went to BATTERY DEPOT and they provided a similar battery HD uses as noted in another post. Works fine. I also used O'Reillys a few years ago and their battery worked well for 4 years. I do have a tender.

That is where mine came from I have left e mails and tried calling. no return contact. They warrantied my 4 wheeler battery but not the deka.
First I've heard of this. Sorry it happened to you. Hopefully you'll be able to get it straightened out. I'd like to hear about the outcome with them. Feel free to PM if you'd like to share.
Duracell from Batteries Plus, made by East Penn, 2 year warranty, local walk in and out if there is an issue, stores across the country if I have a problem out and about.
My Yuasa replacement battery arrived today. It was only 27 degrees, I installed it and it fired right up. I also replaced my battery maintainer just to be on the safe side. Now if I can just get my oil leak fixed I'll be all set.
