Remember Harley sells a fork rebuild kit and comes with everything you need when rebuilding the forks, except your fluid. If you're going to do this it's a good time to think about Monotubes or another brand and also think about chrome or powder your front end since it'll be apart.

After looking at front end stuff I think I'm gonna go with the drag specialties rebuild kit and the progressive heavy duty springs from what I can tell that's what I need for a 2010 ultra with a 250lb rider I sent a e-mail to race tech with my specs the other day and never heard back so progressive it is

Would anybody know a good place to buy the double flat socket needed to remove the spring cap. I can't believe that's a 60.00 socket

No the cap nut is 1-3:8 under that once you get the legs off the bike there is a nut with a double flat in the upper tube that holds the spring in from what I understand

Oh, you mean the plug. Baker and Colony Machine I know makes a socket in the $35 range. Here's another option. Don't know anything about the company. http://www.cadtochrome.com/ctc/forktube/forkplug.html

Best modification I've done for ride and handling was Legend cartridges up front and Ohlin 3-3's in the rear. Best $$$s spent without a doubt.

I got a 2010 ultra I have pretty much rebuilt everything over time except the suspension I picked up a set of rear shocks of a 2017 touring bike so I figured next thing is front shocks so by the time in done everything will be new with less than 5000 miles except the lower end of the motor I got 43000 on the clock

Here's a link for the fork plug socket. This should fit all the 41mm fork tubes.
