Default Help finding shocks for 2016 ultra

Hi All. I'm trying to do my own research on the topic, but searching the forums is a big haystack. My objective is to lower the bike to accommodate my challenged inseam.

I've put on a Corbin seat, which I intend to keep. I've installed the Harley reach bars, which is great. I bought a second hand pair of street glide shocks hoping that would get enough but no. The objective is to get the bike lowered by an inch or so.

I'm looking for suggestions for threads to read, or keywords to narrow down the search results.

Thanks in advance.

There's been plenty of threads on this subject and I'm sure others will say the same. I've been looking to replace my stock air ones for a while, and tag on many shock posts. I have seen the HD Premium "Low" mentiond to drop you down a bit if that's of any help. You may want to research them.

You lowered the rear. Now, lower the front.

Motorcycles turn by leaning. Before lowering the shocks, and reducing ground clearance, try reducing the width of the seat.

Yup, that's on the to-do list, along with a shortened kickstand.

Been combing through search results here for the better part of 2 hours. So far, I've learned a lot, but mostly I've learned that shocks are a lot like tires and oil -- lots of opinions, no consensus.

Understood. But I've bailed this bike into some corners pretty hard (for me and my skill level), and not come close to touching down, so not terribly worried about it.

It's a Corbin seat, and I can send it back to them for a "nose job". I'm keeping that as a later step; I'm almost where I want to be with regard to putting my feet on the ground.

I found them on the Harley site, but haven't been able to compare them to them (height-wise) to the street glide shocks I have on now. Mixed reviews on how good the ride is.

Do that first, you'll be surprised what difference it makes, as it essentially shortens how far your legs have to reach to find terra firma. It's as good as getting longer legs!
