Default Need electrical help with Passing light.

Need ideas, I have a passing light out on my bike. I check the continuity on the bulbs and they look good. Voltage on the good light is exactly 12 V and the socket voltage on the one that does not work is 11.2. I do not know if that is significant nor any idea of why it is less. Any electrical guys out there?

Doesn’t light at all?
I’d swap lamps and see what happens. If it’s the socket, time to go upstream on the wiring.
Your manual will show which wire is ground. And no, this doesn’t need a permit. ^^^^

AS Mike said, try switching bulbs. I've seen a Digital Volt meter read 12 volts but as soon as a load was applied the voltage dropped to almost zero. If you have a test light, try connecting your volt meter to the light socket first and then touching the hot lead of the socket with the test light to see it the voltage drops off. It's probably easier that switching bulbs. You can always take a jumper lead from the positive battery to one terminal on the bulb while holding the other terminal to ground to test the bulb.

It turned out to be the bulb. since I have both out I figure may as well put LED replacements. I am going to order the DK Customs tomorrow. Has anyone tried these? It seems hard to find someone who has to say yea or nay.
